These big clubs are synonymous with fun, and have become one of the main tourist attractions of the island. Another peculiarity of the Ibizan club is that they all offer some amazing shows, from the most beautiful dancers, and world-renowned artists. The isla blanca is definitely one of the places with the most nightclubs in the world, do not be surprised if this island is a mecca for clubbers. In Ibiza there are also much more quiet places where you can go just for a drink with friends, or dancing in a less crowded environment.

As said previously the Pacha is the club that has made the history of the world’s nightclubs and is perhaps the best known night club all over the world. The history of the Pacha starts in 1967 when a young entrepreneur named Ricardo Urgell inspired by the night spirit of young clubbers and decided to open a bar called Pacha nightclub in the small town of Sitges, south of Barcelona.

The enormous success obtained brought the young entrepreneur to launch his idea in places more attractive and in 1973 opened nightclub Pacha in Ibiza, a club destined to write the history of nightlife in Europe.

The club style has always been Mediterranean, simple, flat roof and small windows that look a bit like typical ibizeniche homes. It consists of a main central room, from which there is 3-hidden small rooms: The Funky Room (El Cielo), The Global Room and Pachacha, and there is also a terrace and a restaurant. It is amazing how it manages to be an intimate and cozy club despite having a capacity of nearly 3,000 people.

In 2016 the original owner sold the club, which probably will not be restored, but the change of ownership means an inevitable change of artistic direction. We look forward to next season 2017 to see what happens.
