‘guisat de peix’: Seafood delight

033 The guisat de peix is one of the specialties of Ibiza but also found in Formentera. This dish is part of the long maritime tradition of these islands and is a true delicacy for the palate. the guisat de peix is considered a local variety of Mediterranean stew. It is a delicious dish based on potatoes, fish, seafood and shellfish, seasoned with sauce Alioli (garlic and oil). The most important fish is grouper, sea bream, race, swordfish, lobster and shrimp, among others. It is cooked in a greixonera, the typical terracotta pot of the Balearic Islands.
