The Aquarium Cap Blanc located in Ibiza features some of the most beautiful and breathtaking marine animals. It is an underground cavern where you can see brightly colored fish of all types, octopus, and other marine creatures all within their natural habitat.
If you are looking for a day of fun-filled family adventure or sight-seeing, the Aquarium Cap Blanc is an attraction that you don’t want to miss! The aquarium is open to the public every day in the peak seasons, June through September from 9:30 to 22:00. Throughout the rest of the year, the aquarium is open May and October from 9:30 to 18:00, and in the winter from November to April on Saturdays only from 10:00 to 14:00.
The cavern was used as a lobster nursery years ago when lobsters where being exported around Barcelona, Spain. One of the beautiful characteristics about the Aquarium Cap Blanc is that it is used to help animals return to their natural habitats. The CREM (Marine Species Recovery Center) plays an integral role in studying animals in the area (mostly sea turtles) and helping them to recover.
One of their fundamental objectives is to “bring social awareness about the problems that affect the marine environment, through educational activities”. If you are interested in learning more about the Aquarium Cap Blanc, you can visit their website here.
