Natural Reserve Es Vedrà, Es Vedranell and Ponente’s islets

The nature reserve of Es Vedrà, Es Vedranell and the islets of Ponente is located in the west and southwest of the island of Ibiza. The diversity of the landscape has been established as a major feature of the reserve and you can contemplate the different elevations spectacular views. The silhouettes of Es Vedrà emerging from the sea is one of the most emblematic images of Ibiza.
The islets: Categorized as strictly protected areas (nature reserve since 2002), are included in the reserve and are nine islands: Es Vedrà, Es Vedranell, Sa Conillera, S’Illa des Bosc, Ses Bledes (4 Islotes) y S’Espartar . The islets are characterized by the constant influence of the sea and the wind and the scarcity of land. Despite these harsh conditions many species can survive. In the fauna on the islets there is a large variety of birds, lizards and other invertebrates. It is one of the main places of reproduction of marine birds and birds of prey.
